How I Work
I focus on making the process stress-free for busy small business owners, freelancers, and creative professionals. Whether you're a dance studio owner managing irregular income or a local service provider tracking expenses, my approach ensures nothing falls through the cracks. I also provide clear monthly summaries so you always know where your numbers stand.
Here's how we usually work together.
Step 1: A short Initial Chat
We start with a brief, no-pressure conversation. This is simply to:
understand your situation at a high level
check that I'm the right person to help
explain how I work
There's no obligation at this stage.
Step 2: A diagnostic Review
Step 3: Clear Options
What I don't do:
Most people contact me because something feels slightly off — or very off — with their bookkeeping or VAT.
My job is to help you understand what’s going on, without judgement, panic, or unnecessary upselling.
If you'd like me to properly assess things, I offer a paid diagnostic review. This allows me to:
look at your bookkeeping or VAT position in context
identify risks, errors, or inefficiencies
understand how tidy (or untidy) things really are
estimate what it would take to put things right
This is the point where uncertainty turns into clarity.
After the review, I'll explain:
what's working
what needs attention
what can wait
and what it would realistically take (time and cost) to sort things out
You can then decide whether you'd like help with:
a one-off tidy-up or fix
ongoing bookkeeping or VAT support
or simply taking the information away
There's no pressure to continue.
I don't guess prices without seeing the work
I don't judge messy records
I don't sell services you don't need
My aim is to leave you feeling calmer and clearer, whatever you decide.

A little clarity now
can save a lot of stress later.
