Paper Piles to Peace of Mind — Small-Group Sessions for Income Earners in Redcar & East Cleveland

black blue and yellow textile

Alice in Numberland offers small, complimentary one-hour bookkeeping workshops for community groups across Redcar and East Cleveland.

These sessions are calm, practical and conversational — designed for people who manage their own income, rental property or small trading activity and would like a clearer way of organising their records.

This is not a large seminar or a drop-in social event.
It is a focused small-group session built around discussion, simple activities and real questions.

The First Session

From Paper Piles to Peace of Mind

A practical one-hour session designed to bring order to paper records and uncertainty.

Ideal for participants who:

• Keep receipts or paper records in envelopes
• Manage rental properties and want to summarise totals clearly
• Are self-employed or receive income outside PAYE
• Feel unsure what HMRC expects them to keep
• Want a straightforward system they can maintain

No laptops required.
No accounting background assumed.
No classroom atmosphere.

Future sessions may explore software and VAT topics, but this workshop focuses on foundations.

To keep the session useful and genuinely interactive:

• Minimum 5 participating businesses or income sources
• Maximum 10 participating businesses or income sources

A participating business may be represented by one or two people (for example, partners or spouses).

To preserve the small-group format, the total number of people in the room should not exceed 12 without prior agreement.

Numbers must be confirmed in advance.

If the minimum number is not met, the session will be rescheduled.

If attendance exceeds the agreed limit, delivery may be adjusted accordingly.

Each workshop runs for a maximum of one hour.
